Review: Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner
I'm always looking for an eyeliner that will be my staple, and hearing Fleur de Force (beauty blogger extraordinaire) rave about the line, I had to pick one up on of my recent trips to Boots.
I chose a shimmery bronze with a hint of gold running through it and, ironically enough, is called Bronze.
The pigmentation of this product is exquisite as it glides on smoothly when sharpened (not blunt!!) and it would not budge! The texture is quite velvety and soft but does not drag at the skin much.
I was slightly doubtful whether it could be waterproof, so I put it to the test. I was going swimming that afternoon so I decided to apply a generous amount on my lash line and lids and plunged in.
40 minutes later...
Looking in the mirror I saw the eyeliner was still in place, not smudged but slightly, only slightly, faded.
I was impressed further and definitely recommend this must have product which retails only for £3.99 from Boots/Superdrug in the UK. I am going to get my hands on the other colours in the range, as I need a classic black pencil liner, not my beloved Soap & Glory Supercat liquid liner!
Definitely test these out in store and tell me down below what you think of this eye liner or if you would buy it!

Getting into the Christmas Spirit
It’s about time I do this blog post and I have been away
from my keyboard for quite a while now, so I think I owe all of you a decent,
lengthy post.
It's only just hit me that it's nearly CHRISTMAS!!! Ooh sorry about that, that excitements been building for a while.
I feel it’s important that you guys know that I am snuggled
on the sofa, in my pj’s listening to a Glee Christmas Album so you know that I
am in the Christmassy mood!
When December rolls round I LOVE decorating my room and it
is the perfect excuse to buy more candles... which leads to spending more
money! Whoops!
As you can see in the picture above, I have included my
advent calendar for this year which is a Thornton’s Snowman and his Snow dog
calendar as nothing excites me more than revealing a fun shaped chocolate for
25 days! (Not very good for your tummy
now, though is it?!)
The album I am currently listening to is also featured in
this post as it is so cheery, my favourite song being a Santa Baby cover. *sings 'Santa Baby and hurry down the chimney
tonight!'* I know I am such a Gleek! But sweet, traditional christmas songs like Drummer Boy etc. are featured too! Another Christmas song I'm enjoying is Leona Lewis' new single, One More Sleep!
Featured either side of the image are these ornate gold
candle holders with glittery “leaves” and vines. It looks pretty dangerous
because of the spike sticking out but I am going to find a way of removing this
(parental supervision if you’re under a certain age/still a child etc.) so I
don’t have to stab my candles just so it can look pretty with this set. My Mum
had given these to me when she found another perfect table centrepiece, but I
am not sure where they are from as it has been a few years. Please do feel free
to buy something similar to this, as they are absolutely gorgeous even when
empty!
Speaking of candles I picked up this Festive Holiday gift
set for £5 from my local Garden Centre, the brand being Heart & Home. It
came with two miniature Christmassy candles and a glass candle holder. The
Festive Cookie smells insanely good and I will buy the full size. The Christmas
Surprise is a lot more subtle but refreshingly Christmassy (obviously my
favourite word at the moment!) Not as exciting though…
Body Shop always pull out all the stops at Christmas and
last year was the year of the Cranberry which happened to be irresistible and
Limited Edition. Hoping that they bring back that awesome scent (which they have), we stocked up on
the diffuser and the body spray so we
could use it this year. The diffuser is very effective and as soon as you walk
through the lounge door, you smell the cranberries. The diffuser was £15 and the body spray was
around the £7 mark* (don’t quote me on this price, it has been a year).
I hope this has helped you all get into the Christmas Spirit and Santa is bringing me a proper camera this year rather than my iPod! I hope!

Product Empties: October 2013
I have gone through some products and I am going to say what I thought about each product and whether I would repurchase them.
| From Left to Right
Soap & Glory Flake Away- I would repurchase this, but I am not dashing to the shops anytime soon. I liked how it left my skin feeling but in the shower it easily got washed away which was slightly frustrating. The smell was really nice and fresh, such a bargain for a small tub; £2.50
Tropicana Tropical Fruit- This may seem like an odd product to put in my empties, but I have been really into fresh, pure fruit juice. Noone can beat Tropicana though. Let me know down below if you have any juice favourite, I would love to try it.
Lush Cupcake Mask- This is meant for teen skin, and once again Lush have presented me with another must have product! I have tried their Catastrophe face mask, but I am not the biggest fan of the smell (Camomile and blueberries). I am definitely going to repurchase this some time soon.
Rimmel Wear Max Top Coat- It did it's job, gave my nails a nice shine and a smooth finish. It also dried quickly, but I would like to try a new top coat. Any suggestions?
Batiste Floral & Flirty Dry Shampoo- My favourite brand of dry shampoo, and quite frankly it is amazing. I had the travel size because it was a freebie on deal. I love the scent, it does it's job extremely well and the white powder is quite easy to rub in. LOVE. Do have the full size but for volume, so won't be purchasing more anytime soon. Small size lasts 3 or 4 uses.
Clinique Liquid Mild Facial Soap- Has a gel consistency, I have the eyewatering expensive full size and I love. To read the full review click here.
Simple Hydrating Light Moisturiser- I love how hydrating this is but I am so frustrated with the packaging as so much product is left inside but I cannot get it out! Will not repurchase this. Great for dry skin (I have oily skin and is not too bad). To read the full review click here.
Vintage Carnival Strawberry Bath Creme- I was given this as a gift and I adore the smell (sweet strawberries) and it made my bath feel silky. Left my bathroom smelling amazing and my skin felt very soft. Will not repurchase this because I have so many bath oils to use up!
Tropicana Essentials Multivitamins- When I feel my body needs a boost, this is the drink I have on hand. Tastes insanely fruity and fresh, such a scrummy drink. Rejuvenates my body and I feel awake and healthy when I drink this. As the name suggests, it contains many vitamins; A, E, C, B1, B2 and B6 for 'a body boost'.
Hope you enjoyed.

Review: Herbal Essences Bee Strong Shampoo & Conditioner
You all know how I am completely dedicated to my Herbal Essences Ignite the Colour Shampoo and I picked it up by mistake! This is perfect for my hair as I have bleached the ends blonde (ombre), but at the time I had not done this. Well this smells just like roses and is a real rejuvenating shampoo. Ermm plus it's pink too!
As you can see I am running low, but I have two shampoos on standby!
Well it may have met its match *people begin to gasp and turn with shock* with Herbal Essences Bee Strong Shampoo and Conditioner, which I recieved as a sample and has been sat in my bathroom cabinet for a while now and I had to try it!
The conditioner was like a hair mask and I let it soak in for a minute before rinsing out. I felt this made a difference as it sank into my hair and gave my hair a deeper clean.
* note; I don't always condition my hair, as my hair becomes greasy, very quickly and stopping conditioning my hair everyday has helped that a lot.
I will definitely be purchasing the full size of these, but I must finish my TRESemme and Lush first.
What's your favourite Shampoo and Conditioner?

Review: Maybelline 24 hour Colour Tattoos
As you all know, I recently purchased the Maybelline 24 Hour Colour Tattoo, which was raved about so much, that I had to try it!
I purchased two shades - 35 On and On Bronze and 65 Pink Gold.
My Personal Favourite out of the two is On and On Bronze as it is such a stunning bronze colour and looks amazing as a neutral, paired with my Supercat Soap & Glory Eyeliner. What I also love about this colour is that it can be dressed up and goes great with a smokey eye.
I do not know what to think of Pink Gold as I find you need to pair it with a another colour (a pressed powder though) and I find if you apply too much of it, the colour can look too pale against my skin tone.
I have yet to find a way to make this colour look amazing on my lids, so if you have another way of using the eyeshadow please let me know in the comments below! I do think the colour is stunning and I do like it, I just have to find a complimentary colour.
The Colour Tattoos are a definite eye shadow must have in my opinion and I always edge towards them when doing my makeup. The colours are super pigmented and quite a creamy consistency. I think these are a steal for £4.99 each as I will always use them.
Another colour I wish to pick up is Metallic Pomegranate which is one of the 9 shades (available in Boots), but I do know that on the website there is 12 shades available. Do you have the shade I am eyeing up? Please tell me what its like below?!

How I clean my makeup brushes;
Cleaning makeup brushes is a very important part to beauty. The amount of bacteria and germs your brush hold and, you put on your face is disgusting. Product gets clogged up in the hairs of your brush, causing germs to multiply and spread.
Sounds gross, right? Well, with a good cleaner and running water, you will be fine and your brushes 'deep cleaned'.
I deep clean my brushes once a week (sounds a lot, but if you are using your brushes nearly every day then you should) and I also spot clean (rinse lightly and dry) when I feel my brushes need it or when I have used a very bright/prominent colour.
I know there are plenty of expensive brush cleaners claiming to do the job better than anything else; but they cannot beat Johnsons Baby Shampoo. It is a lot softer for the brushes than normal shampoo (NEVER use anything like your daily shampoo, as your brush hair is very delicate.)
Let's get started!
Select a big brush (I am using a face brush) and rinse under warm water. Once wet, swirl your brush in the cleanser/baby shampoo to create a lather. Once you think the brush is lathered enough, soak your brush under the water and squeeze the brush hairs, making sure that all shampoo has been rinsed out.
With your smaller brushes (eyeshadow brushes, lip brushes etc.) swirl three at the same time. Here I am using; Eyeshadow Brush, Eyebrow Angled Brush and Eyeliner Brush.
So I hope this helped you all with cleaning your makeup brushes, as it is very important that you do this!!

Pencil or Liquid?
A question I regularly ask myself is; pencil or liquid?
Eyeliner is a very finishing, personalised touch to eyes and the colour, shape and strength of the liner shows a lot through a person.
Liquid Liner
Pros; Dramatic, long-lasting, easy to flick/create wings and slides on well. Some may be waterproof.
Cons; May be messy, if not waterproof then create smudge, have to get use to application technique and can be awkward in all aspects if not comfortable/familiar with usage.May be slightly more expensive than pencil.
Eye Pencil
Pros; Effective, easy to apply, more natural looking, easy to flick, plenty of different shades and depending on the brand, normally cheaper than liquid liner.
Cons; Not as long lasting, many not waterproof, not very dramatic and eyeliner is not as easy to apply as get caught in crease (not smooth application).
Overall, both are just as good, but the pencil being more money friendly. Liquid liner is more suitable for a night out and eye pencil for during the day.
Which do you use more often, why and what is your favourite eye liner? :)

Small Holiday Haul - Superdrug & Paperchase
So I have just come back from a lovely holiday and I went shopping...
Superdrug
Beauty
Maybelline had an offer on (3 for 2) so I had to pick up the following 3 items.
| Maybelline Colour Tattoo (x2) and Colour Sensational Vivid Lipstick. |
I am a bit late on the bandwagon with these, but I have been longing to try them. They are Maybellines 24 Hour Colour Tattoo in the shade Pink Gold 65. I also purchased the shade On and On Bronze 35. They are the most beautiful shades and are complimentary colours, so will look great on the lids. Both of them can be dressy or neutrals so perfect for everyday!
Maybelline claims that they last 24 hour but I will do a review on these so you can find out there!
They are a cream- gel consistency and very pigmented. They have a hint of shimmer to them and I am so excited to use them. They were £4.99 each (but the offer meant one was free).
My last purchase from Maybellines counter was the Colour Sensational Vivid Lipstick in the shade Shocking Coral. This is the prettiest colour, it can be dressy or very simple. It is quite bright but I think it will be a colour that suits me. Maybelline says that they are moisturising and hydrating for the lips, so I will be reporting whether that is true or not! It was quite pigmented when I swatched it so I am looking forward to this product! It was £7.19.
| Left to Right; Maybelline Colour Sensational Vivid in Shocking Coral, Pink Gold Colour Tattoo, On and On Bronze Colour Tattoo. |
School Essentials
Superdrug had a deal (3 for £3) on all travel size products so I picked up some things......
I always find myself not being organised at school, so I thought to myself..... Lets change that!!
These are all just handy things to store in a small cosmetics bag after gym/swim/sport etc to freshen up or if I get caught short! (tictacs were not part of deal they were from WHSmiths but I got toothpaste as the sixth item of the deal)!
I am really happy I purchased these, so I recommend checking Superdrug out now!!!
Paperchase School Stationary
I am sucker for stationary especially when it has Paperchase scrawled all over it, and what made it worse was the 3 for 2 mix and match deal! So this is my new school stationary!

Is it worth the hype: Urban Decay Naked Palettes Edition
So I am considering purchasing (or asking our jolly friend with the beard and red coat) for the Naked or Naked 2 Palettes by Urban Decay.
Now, I LOVE eyeshadow but I do not know which is better and... is it worth the hype?
Of course, I can't afford to buy both with my own money, as being £36 each is a lot for an eyeshadow palette.
I bet you are all saying, 'What!? She DOESN'T have the two Naked palettes!' But rest assured, I plan to get my hands on one of them soon...
I know people rave about this, but I would love a more personal, constructive comment from YOU!
I need help deciding, so please comment below saying which you prefer/want and why it is good/not good. With the deal of getting a free lipgloss/eye primer potion, I need to decide soon!
Do you think it's worth the hype?

Just a Note....
I am going away for a few days so I will be planning a post for when I come back about my trip!
Again, please comment below if you have any helpful tips you want to share in posts!

Miss Selfridges- Grey Cardigan/ Dorothy Perkins - Cat EyeTop
I recently purchased a grey shimmery cardigan (with a shimmer of lilac if placed in the direct light) from Miss Selfridges and I feel it complimented my skin tone, eye colour and would be a good investment because it would go with most of the items in my wardrobe. It was slightly on the pricey side (but I couldn't resist). Because it is a pale colour, it would go with most colours which would mean I would get great wear out of it.
One of the things I love about it is that it's super soft!! It is so cosy and feels like I am wrapped in a blanket. It is quite a nice length on the sleeves and has two pockets, it's also a longish cardigan. I feel this is a very cool but subtle fashion statement. It says a lot but is very simple and effective.
This cat eye top is casual, cute and very baggy, so perfect for a chilled weekend spent at the cinema. It has cap sleeves and the material is very light and elasticated. It can be worn as an off the shoulder top with a cami underneath. A black cami may be able to be seen through the top so I recommend wearing a pastel coloured cami underneath. This also goes with my cardigan, which was kind of a bonus! I know Miss Selfridges still sell their cardigan but I am not sure about this top! Try and get your hands on these!
July Monthly Favourites
I have been spending a lot of money in July on products, and just mainly using some stuff a lot more.
One of the products I have recently been loving is Lush Bubblegum Lip scrub. It scrubs my lips clean of dead/flaky skin and makes them smooth 'n' soft. The price is a bit much for lip scrub but it does the job well; £5.25. Also, it tastes amazing!! I really like the lip scrubs because they are edible (yay! haha).
Another product I have been loving is Clinique Superbalm Moisturising Gloss. They add colour to your lips as well as moisturising them. It gives your lips gloss and shine and lasts for a long time! I love these so much and the colours are lovely. I would describe the one on the left as blackcurrant colour and the one on the right as baby pink. I have the sample sizes (the pink one hooks on a key chain) and the full size is £16. I am afraid to say, although I love them, I would never fork out £16 for 15ml lip gloss. Never. Ever. £16 could be spent on 3 items of Rimmel makeup! But... I may succumb to the love I have for these...:
Another product that you all know I love is; DermaVio Cocoa Body Butter. I use this after a shower and it is a great moisturiser for my skin! It is very soft and nourishing, all for £1! Once I have used this up I will definitely repurchase it. It is a massive tub (like Body Shop Size) and is a really cheap dupe for it!
Candle of the Month
This July, I have been loving Bomb Cosmetics Paradise Lost Return to Eden candle. It is fruity (abit flowery too), sweet and very girly and I love this candle for when I am relaxing in a pamper evening style bath. I am not sure where to find this candle, but it costs £7.99 and it was a birthday pressie from a couple years back (I wasn't obsessed with candles back then!)
Eyeshadow Bargain Favourite
The colours in this palette are stunning and very pigmented. They are very easy to blend and leave a great finish! I will use this all year round and I purchased it from Bodycare (not sure if there is a chain of stores) and if you can get hold of this for £4 then I definitely recommend!
Perfume of the Month
This is a really light and stunning perfume. Its top notes are red apple, wild berries and water lily; its middle notes are jasmine, freesia and peony; base notes being woodsy scent, amber and a musky smell. (Had to look that up, my nose is NOT that good!)
This is a daytime perfume and perfect for Spring and Summer.
Unfortunately, Harajuku Lovers are only available online to purchase (Ebay etc). This one is called G of the Sea.
Shoes of the Month
These shoes were a bargain and so casual. I have been wearing these every single day because they are comfortable and are easy on my feet. I got these from Primark and they were just over £10 (I think!?!). I am not sure whether these are available still but if you are desperate there is Ebay???! LOVE them!
Favourite Outfit
Okay, so technically this isn't an outfit but this is so cute! These PJ's are so comfy and fit well. It has been getting hotter recently, so I was baking in my thick winter PJ's (pyjamas just in case you call it something else!) These were from Primark and I just love them! They are really light and airy so they are perfect for this weather!
Nail Shade Fave!
I have mentioned this nail varnish before, but it is my monthly favourite. The colour is rich but I also find that the brush is really good as it makes it easier to apply the paint. I find the quality really good and if you want to read more about this shade and Scorched Orange by Collection, read it here.
So, I hope you enjoyed this post and it has helped you see a product or item that you liked the look of! I love this blog so please follow me on Pinterest and Instagram! Thanks for reading!

Why do you wear Makeup? Tag
1. When did you begin loving make-up?
When I was in Year 4 (Primary School). It was when I asked for my first eyeshadow set for christmas and I was thrilled when it was under the tree! I experimented with makeup a lot since then!
2. How do you feel without make-up?
I would'nt say I felt bad without wearing makeup, but I think I look prettier wearing it and it gives me more confidence.
3. What do you like about makeup?
I like how you can personalise it and it can reflect your style and character. You can be a girly girl or casual or whatever you want to look like. It's your choice; NOONE ELSES.
4. Three "holy grail" items?

4. Three "holy grail" items?
- Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer- This stuff offers great coverage, not too expensive and the colour I chose blends perfectly. This is one of my necessities. A total HG.
- Soap & Glory Supercat Carbon Black Liquid Eyeliner- It makes a great cat eye and easy to apply. Makes my eyes stand out. My favourite eye liner! I love this stuff!
- Cliniques High Impact Mascara- Gives me volume, extra length and is just... Perfect! Not much more I can say about this! :)
So guys, I tag all of YOU to do this tag! Lovely readers, Comment below!
Question; Eyeliner or Mascara??!
This or That Makeup Tag
Beauty
Blush or Bronzer? I think blush makes you look girly and sweet (which is what I like) and I always wear it! So definitely blush.
Lipgloss or Lipstick? Lipgloss; it gives you colour and shine! I have tons of lipglosses, far more than I do lipsticks.
Eyeliner or Mascara? Mascara. Eyes never look complete without it! I do love eyeliner though.
Foundation or Concealer? Concealer; if you buff a good amount into your skin it looks like foundation. Has better coverage too! Don't want everyone to know about that big spot underneath your nose!
Neutral or Coloured Eyeshadow? Neutrals as it is perfect tones for every day looks.
Pressed or Loose Eyeshadow? Pressed. I hate loose eyeshadow, I feel pressed eyeshadow lasts longer.
Brushes or Sponges? Brushes, they have more accuracy, then leave a better finish.
Nails
Long or Short? Long, but shaped and trimmed regularly, I don't want claws, I am not a cat!!
Acrylic or Natural? Never worn acrylic nails, though would like too. Natural nails are better for your nails though!

Body
Perfume or Body Mist? Perfume, it lasts longer and I love using them because of the bottles!!
Lotion or Body Butter? Body Butter!! It is moisturising and I have a collection of body butters...

Cowboy Boots or Riding Boots? Riding boots!!!
Jacket or Hoodie? Jacket
Hair
Curly or Straight? I have straight hair, but love curls!
Bun or Ponytail? Ponytail, more casual and easier to do!
Bobby Pins or Butterfly Clips? Bobby pins. Better grip and not as noticeable.
