Why do you wear Makeup? Tag

1. When did you begin loving make-up?
When I was in Year 4 (Primary School). It was when I asked for my first eyeshadow set for christmas and I was thrilled when it was under the tree! I experimented with makeup a lot since then!

2. How do you feel without make-up?

I would'nt say I felt bad without wearing makeup, but I think I look prettier wearing it and it gives me more confidence.

3. What do you like about makeup?

I like how you can personalise it and it can reflect your style and character. You can be a girly girl or casual or whatever you want to look like. It's your choice; NOONE ELSES.

4. Three "holy grail" items?

  • Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer- This stuff offers great coverage, not too expensive and the colour I chose blends perfectly. This is one of my necessities. A total HG.
  • Soap & Glory Supercat Carbon Black Liquid Eyeliner- It makes a great cat eye and easy to apply. Makes my eyes stand out. My favourite eye liner! I love this stuff!
  • Cliniques High Impact Mascara- Gives me volume, extra length and is just... Perfect! Not much more I can say about this! :)
So guys, I tag all of YOU to do this tag! Lovely readers, Comment below!

Question; Eyeliner or Mascara??!

This or That Makeup Tag

Beauty

Blush or Bronzer? I think blush makes you look girly and sweet (which is what I like) and I always wear it! So definitely blush.

Lipgloss or Lipstick?  Lipgloss; it gives you colour and shine! I have tons of lipglosses, far more than I do lipsticks.

Eyeliner or Mascara?  Mascara. Eyes never look complete without it! I do love eyeliner though.

Foundation or Concealer?
Concealer; if you buff a good amount into your skin it looks like foundation. Has better coverage too! Don't want everyone to know about that big spot underneath your nose!

Neutral or Coloured Eyeshadow?  Neutrals as it is perfect tones for every day looks.

Pressed or Loose Eyeshadow? Pressed. I hate loose eyeshadow, I feel pressed eyeshadow lasts longer.

Brushes or Sponges? Brushes, they have more accuracy, then leave a better finish.

Nails

Long or Short?  Long, but shaped and trimmed regularly, I don't want claws, I am not a cat!!

Acrylic or Natural?  Never worn acrylic nails, though would like too. Natural nails are better for your nails though!

Brights or Darks?  Bright colours!! Very cheerful and funny!

Body

Perfume or Body Mist?  Perfume, it lasts longer and I love using them because of the bottles!!

Lotion or Body Butter?  Body Butter!! It is moisturising and I have a collection of body butters...

Body Wash or Soap? Both! Soap is more effective for germs, I feel. But body wash is nicer scented and nice for when you go out.

Fashion

Jeans or Sweat Pants? Jeans. They look smarter and I love how they make me look.

Long Sleeve or Short? Both, I like both. I am not really fussed.

Dresses or Skirts?  OOh... Urr.... Again, I can't really choose but if I have to pick then... Dresses. I love dresses, they can be casual or dressy!!

Stripes or Plaid?  Plaid. (I prefer to call it checked).

Flip Flops or Sandals?  Sandals. They can be worn at the beach or out at an evening meal! Dressy or casual. I love gladiators.

Scarves or Hats?  Scarves! They are the perfect touch to an outfit and I love the patterns on scarves, and the materials.

Studs or Dangly Earrings?  Both. Dangly earrings for a night out, studs for daytime.

Cowboy Boots or Riding Boots?  Riding boots!!!

Jacket or Hoodie?  Jacket

Hair

Curly or Straight?  I have straight hair, but love curls!

Bun or Ponytail?  Ponytail, more casual and easier to do!

Bobby Pins or Butterfly Clips? Bobby pins. Better grip and not as noticeable.

Hair Spray or Gel? Hair spray. I NEVER use gel.

Long or Short? I have had both hair cuts (long and short) in my lifetime, so both. I think both are pretty.

Light or Dark? Dark.

Side-swept Bangs or Full Bangs? Side- swept.

Up or Down?  Down.

Random

Rain or Shine?  Well, I am used to lots of rain, so shine! Sun come out please!

Summer or Winter? I get a better winter (good snow) but in Summer not as much sun... So either!

Fall or Spring? Spring, I love pastels and floral patterns.

Chocolate or Vanilla?  Chocolate. I am a CHOCAHOLIC!

I tag anyone who wants to do this and let me know down below if you are doing it!

Question; fashion or makeup??!

Would you Rather - Beauty Edition Tag

1. Would you rather wear one eye shadow or one lipstick for the rest of your life?
Lipstick; I love to experiment with eye shadow, so to have to stick with one shade would bore me! If I chose one neutral lipstick, it would go with all eye shadows!

2. Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
Bright Nails; I do love dark nails, but bright nails are more fun and exciting. There is also more colours available. So, sorry dark nails, you have to go!

3. Would you rather go out with messy hair/nice make-up or nice hair/no make-up?
Messy hair & nice make-up; Messy hair can be cute and casual, so that thought does not bother me. I don't style my hair often, only when I can be bothered (haha) and if i am going out somewhere nice. I like to give my hair a break.

4. Would you rather live without makeup or nail varnish?
Without nail varnish; as I could polish my nails and make them look nice without the varnish! Plus, I love makeup!

5. Would you rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush?
Overdone blush; You could say you have a temperature!! (haha)

6. Would you rather have a bad haircut or bad hair color?
Bad haircut; Umm, I could wear a hat!! Or distract everyone from my hair!

7. Would you rather give up using makeup brushes or mascara?
Makeup brushes; I love mascara too much... I can use my fingers!!

8. Would you rather never being able to paint yours nails again or never use lip gloss?
Never use lip gloss; I can use lip BALM and lipSTICK!! I do love painting my nails as it looks funky and creative!

9. If you had £100 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
Clothes; They have more of a personal statement than makeup does and clothes show your character.

10. Would you rather never buy a handbag again, or never buy shoes again?
Shoes; Although shoes get a bit tatty, I cannot live without handbags! They add the perfect touch to an outfit. I LOVE them. They are very handy and I think they are an essential.

Okay guys I hope you enjoyed that!
Please let me know in the comments section what you would have put!!
I tag all you lovely readers to do this Would you Rather (beauty edition).

Review: Burts Bees Pink Grapefruit Lip Balm

My lips turn dry very quickly and I wanted to find a lip balm that would moisturise my lips and still smell amazing. I came across Burts Bees...

Pink Grapefruit Lip Balm £3.69
I had heard great things about this lip balm, so I was looking in Boots and found it. I thought that I should try it out, though I was slightly put off because of the price. But, I feel it was worth it! It smells amazing and is so moisturising on the lips. It makes them feel soft and I put it on before applying lipstick and I feel it makes it last longer.

There are other alternative scents including honey, pomegranate, mango etc. This will always be my go to lip balm and is my absolute favourite! :) X

My Skincare Routine

This is my everyday skincare routine! Enjoy!

These are the three products I use just on my face and I love them! They all work really well together on my skin. They weren't too pricey either!
I'm going to present this in order of use, in case you guys want to try this!!

Step 1. Simple Kind to Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes.

These are so refreshing on your face and very gentle. They do remove makeup but I do prefer using a proper makeup remover. The wipes are really good at waking me up in the morning and are soft on my face. But they are ridiculously expensive for facial wipes (£3.25 from Boots) but I got hold of two packs for £3.99 from Bodycare. I don't know whether there are any shops near your local area, but their deals are amazing. I am kind of addicted... These are really good.

Step 2.Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Mild

This is the travel size and I LOVE it! It is not perfumated and very kind to my skin. I feel it improves the condition of my skin and my skin feels healthier when I use this.  I also have the full size of this but don't want to open it till I have finished the two travel sizes. I received these from part of a deal and were freebies, as such. It is in a clear gel form and you only use a little bit, so it lasts for a long time.

Full Size; £15.50 (yes I know it's a lot, but its SO good!)

Step 3. Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser

This is a really ... moisturising.. moisturiser?? (Make sense?!?) You don't need much moisturiser on your face as too much will clog up your pores. It is very light and doesn't leave my face feeling sticky and it is absorbed into my skin straight away. I feel it is really healthy for my face and leaves my face soft and smooth. This product is slightly pricey but I feel it does the job. :) 125ml; £3.79 from Boots!

DermaVio Cocoa Body Butter 220ml

This can be classed as not skincare but this is for my body and this body butter is my favourite. I use this after my shower and it smells just like chocolate! It smells sweet and is very moisturising. I will definitely repurchase this as this is my favourite body butter and can be found in chemists/ pharmacys. I came across this by chance and costs only £1! I can't resist a good bargain and I feel this is just as good as The Body Shops Body Butter. If you can find this I do recommend you get your hands on it!!

Hope you enjoyed reading about my skincare routine! I like to look after my skin and keep it glowing and healthy!

Review: Soap & Glory Body Products

I love skin products and I am given plenty of products for my birthday and christmas by friends and family.

One of my favourite brands of bath products is Soap & Glory. Their products are very feminite, pretty and work wonders on my skin.

I have narrowed down my favorites to three and this is what I have chosen;

These are my favourite products, they include; Clean on me Shower Gel, Hand Maid Hand Cleansing Gel and Soap & Glory Flake Away. The body scrub and shower gel are in travel size, but I wish to get the full size.

This shower gel is really moisturising, rich and creamy on my skin. It lathers well and leaves your skin smelling fragranted and girly! It is one of my favourite shower gels and I will always have one handy; RRP: £6.00 full size, travel size ; £2.50. If you prefer something more fruity, then this may not be for you.

This hand cleansing gel is really good, smells feminine and quite sweet. A bit too sweet, I must admit, it is a very strong smell. The bottle has a tendency to squirt out a bit too much which can be annoying but I love this and feels it does the job! Makes my hands feel that they are clean. Soap & Glory all the way! RRP: £2.50

This body scrub leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft. This again, was travel size and I hope to buy the full tub. I have finished this, so am anxious to get another. I do feel, however, that the scrub washes away very quickly after applying it to your skin, which irritates me as you do not get chance to scrub it in, unless you avoid the part you want to apply from water. (I hope that made sense!?!)
RRP: £2.50 travel size; £7.50 full size.

Review: Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer/Foundation

I had heard good things about many concealers; but Rimmels Wake Me Up Concealer really interested me.

This concealer is amazing on my blemishes and discolourations and is very kind to my skin. It offers great coverage and suits my skin.

Rimmel London RRP: £5.49
The applicator is very good and the colour I use blends in well to my skin; the selection of colours; Ivory, Soft Beige and Classic Beige. I have medium toned skin (normally pale, but my face is slightly tanned because of the sun) and I felt it was easy to blend.

This may not be the concealer for everyone but I recommend this highly. It gives great coverage around my nose and on my chin, where I tend to break out a little. Once this product runs out, I will definitely be re-purchasing it.

The concealer has a foundation to match (Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation) which I have been curious to try, has good reviews and comes in five shades; True Nude, True Ivory, Natural Beige, Classic Beige and Natural Beige. It promises anti-fatigue effects and an instant flawless, natural looking finish. It also moisturises your skin. If any of you use this let me know in the comments below what you thought about it!

Rimmel London RRP: £8.99

Soooo, I hope this post was helpful and please leave any comments about these products below!!

Review: Tangle Teezer

My hair easily gets into knots and tangles, but this hair brush was AMAZING at straightening, untangling my hair causing no pain whatsoever. The original version is very compact and easy to carry around, but they have brought out the new more compact version. It has a decent grip in your hand, but is awkward to style with and may slip. It is very sturdy and comes in plenty of colours, so they are very attractive.

The selection of brush colours in the range.
This is personally my favourite brush to use for getting rid of knots, but as I said, not the best for styling.
I would recommend this to anyone who has thick hair and often gets knots.

They can be found in Boots and many online beauty stores. I haven't found a tangle teezer in Superdrug, but hopefully they might get some in stock. :)

My tangle teezer in purple glitter- I <3 it!

Many hair salons sell these, and I was introduced to these by my hairdresser. If your local salon doesn't, maybe enquire if they are planning on getting them in stock?

I hope this has helped you to decide on whether or not you are interested in buying a tangle teezer.

I recommend these brushes as they work wonders on your hair.

Review: Collection 2000 Colour Match Foundation

I am always fussy about foundation, but recently I came across Collection 2000 Colour Match Foundation! It was cheap, gives quite good coverage and a really nice finish :). It took a while for me to find the right shade and I chose fair (no.3) as it was the closest to my skin tone. I have been really enjoying this, but if you want more of a dewy finish, it might not be for you.

Comes in 6 shades; Ivory, Light, Fair, Natural, Medium and Dark. RRP; £5.99 (not too shabby!)

This is really good pricing if you are not wanting to spend a lot of money on foundation.

You do not need much on your brush, and it is very easy to blend into your skin. It is not sticky and makes your face soft.

I would definitely recommend this to people who want a natural looking finish and is looking for a cheaper foundation.

Hope this helps!

Review: TRESemme Products

Haven't tried these out yet but I have a slight obsession with the TRESemme Hair Products and I thought I should share these with you guys!

The first product which I think is a necessity, is the TRESemme Heat Defence Serum. This doesn't have to be from TRESemme, but they are meant to be one of the best! It was quite pricey for a very small bottle (RRP: £4.99) but lets hope its worth it!! It protects your hair from heat up to 230 degrees and smooths your hair which makes it easier to style.

The next product which I bought from TRESemme was the Keratin Smooth Deep Treatment Masque. This stuff smells like strawberries and is such a nice scent!!! I can't wait to use it! It is a massive tub and from Superdrug it is £2.95 because it was on sale from £5.99, so if you like the sound of this, I would try it! I can't give a full opinion till I have tried it which is unfortunate but I will definitely be trying this out soon!

The last product I purchased was the Cleanse & Replenish Remoisturise Conditioner for all hair types. I got the 100ml bottle and I am hoping for good results. I can't remember how much this is, but I will try and find out for you guys!

Review: Nail Varnish

I find doing my nails frustrating and very irritating, but for some reason, I still do it! I think I like the finished effect and how pretty my nails look afterwards. I have a rather big varnish collection of plenty of different colours in different shades!

One of my favourite shades at the moment - which I'm wearing right now as I type - is the Collection Hot Looks Midnight. This is the most beautiful navy blue with a slight shimmer and shine.

I'm not sure it takes 60 seconds to dry as it is very easy to smudge but I have learnt to be as still as a statue when applying varnish. And can I ask; Polish or Varnish?? Sorry about that, just very curious!

Also from Hot Looks I purchased the Scorched colour (Firey orange) which I also got from the offer (I really made the most of it)! I haven't tried this out yet but I well let you know the results!!

Am I the only one who finds painting my nails frustrating??

Post in the comments below what your favourite nail varnish brands and shades are at the moment!!

Welcome!

I LOVE beauty and glamour and I have created this blog to share advice, tips and reviews on plenty of makeup products.
I hope you all enjoy my blog and with fashion I will help everyone keep track of whats in season at the moment.

I hope you find this blog helpful and please recommend this to your friends! I feel reviews on makeup products are very helpful and ideal for those who do not want to spend a shed load of money on a product that might not be very good. You should always check out products first before you purchase because some products can be of great disappointment.

If you have a question about a certain product then please leave a comment in the section below. I can then dig around a little for you and reply.

With clothes, if you are not sure on what to wear with anything or you have a fashion emergency, again leave a comment or ask me to do a post on it.

I felt I should do an introduction, so everyone knows what to expect from this blog and I will blog once or twice weekly.

If anyone requests hauls, product empties and monthly favourites these too will be done.
